The Rotary Club of Maraval kicked off its fundraising efforts in grand style by hosting its first ever Movie Premiere fundraiser at Movie Towne in Port of Spain. This event was held on Tuesday 17th July at 8pm at featured the action-thriller, Skyscraper based on a true story.
The fundraiser was aptly supported by the members, friends and families of the Rotary Club of Maraval who participated in the pre-show door prize. Various prizes were distributed ranging from hampers to vouchers and special mention must be made to Cocobel Chocolates and Ginas Chocolate truffles for their very wonderful local cocoa treats!.
This was then followed by a brief address by our President Jennifer Abraham who thanked our patrons for coming out to support our first fundraiser for the year and shared with them that the profits made form this movie would go directly into the Club’s community service projects namely the La Sieva RC School Music Program and the Rampanalgas Education Programme.
