July in Review: The New Year, New Leadership!
The Rotary Club of Maraval rolled into the new Rotary year 2018-19 with all hands on deck as we worked together to prepare our Club for the projects ahead. Here is an overview of what our July month focused on as we prepare our membership for a wonderful Rotary year as ‘People of Action’ and as we ‘Be the Inspiration’
Monday 9th July: Board Meeting #2
Tuesday 10th July: At our Club’s lunch meeting:
· Paul Harris Fellow Recipient – Rtn Yvonne Webber
· Board update by President Jennifer Abraham
· Raffle for Club Admin won by Rtn Adanna Narine
Tuesday 17th July: No Club lunch meeting
Movie Premiere fundraiser at Movie Towne, Port of Spain at 8pm
Tuesday 24th July: At our Club’s lunch meeting:
· Paul Harris Fellow Recipients – PP Helen Ache, Treasurer Charmaine Baptiste and Rtn Shirley Campbell
· Exchange of Pennants with visiting Rotarian Dawn Hammatt of the Rotary Club of Abilene Kansas, USA
· RI Convention 2018 – The Toronto Experience by Rotarian Giselle Holder
· Presentation by Mr. Johnny Marquez on the Peace Education Programme being implemented in our nation’s prisons for the past three (3) years
Saturday 28th July: Rotaract Club of Maraval’s Handing-Over ceremony at Kava Restaurant

Tuesday 31st July: Joint North Clubs meeting hosted by Rotary Club of Port of Spain at the Normandie with guest speaker, The Honourable Minister of Finance, Mr. Colm Imbert.
