The Rotary Club of Maraval braved the stormy weather to fellowship with the Rotary Cubs in Trinidad at the Final Fling fellowship event in Valencia.

Maraval's First Final Fling

The Rotary Clubs of Trinidad and Tobago celebrated our nation’s Emancipation Day holiday and the foundation of every club which is its membership in fine style on Wednesday 1st August at the Final Fling event. This event boasted representation from every Rotary club on the Trinidad island and was also attended by several Rotaract clubs and friends and family of Rotary.

This was the Rotary Club of Maraval’s first time at the Final Fling event and of course we were welcomed with open arms as special mention was made of our first-time attendance and this was celebrated by all.

Food and drinks abounded throughout the day and the festivities continued from mid-morning to late in the evening ranging from a roasted pig to pepper roti being made for all to see! All had a fantastic time celebrating our PDG Waddy’s mantra of “Fun, Food and Fellowship” in true Rotary style.

Our club gave its kudos to PAG Ken Boodhu and his organizing committee for a wonderful and successful event and looks forward to the next one!
