On Saturday 22nd August, 2020, the Rotary Club of Maraval, for the first time ever, hosted a virtual visit with a District Governor.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our country's borders remain close, therefore the customary in person visit done by our District Governor to our Club could not be facilitated. However as Rotarians, we are about solutions are were able to enjoy a very interactive and engaging DG visit by our current District Governor Lisle Chase.

DG Lisle was also accompanied by Assistant Governor Vindra Amar and during this meeting the Club shared on the ways in which it planned to execute its projects and fundraisers all in keeping with the Rotary International Action Plan which Rotary Club of Maraval has fully adopted and which focuses on:

DG Lisle shared his focus on us being a family and working together to get the job done. He encouraged us to work with our Rotaractors who he met with before our Rotary Club and challenged them to become the first "EREY" Rotaract Club in our District by encouraging each Rotaractor to donate to the Rotary Foundation.

DG Lisle also expressed his thanks to the Club for his gift which was sent to him via FEDEx and comprised our Club pennant and a branded RCoM mug with his name on it.

It was an absolute pleasure to host both DG Lisle and AG Vindra and we look forward to a wonderful year together!
