On Tuesday 10th September, the Rotary Club of Maraval accompanied by AG Gordon Paul and President Anthony Baptiste journeyed to San Fernando's City Wok Restaurant, to enjoy a wonderful fellowship evening with the Rotary Club of San Fernando South. We were also joined by the Rotary Clubs of POS and Prince Town who added to the evening's festivities. All received much needed information on financial literacy done through the National Financial Literacy Programme Speake, Camille Ramdial who was both engaging and knowledgeable on the topic.

In the month of "Education and Literacy", the Rotary Club of Maraval reached out to the Rotary Club of San Fernando South to co-host an educational session and fellowship focused on "Money Management Matters: Managing Finances and Building Wealth". The Rotary Club of Maraval, through its Club Admin Chair Tracey Rojas, reached out to the Central Bank's National Financial Literacy Programme who identified Ms. Camille Ramdial of Camilleon Consulting  Ltd to chat with the Clubs on this very needed topic.  The two Clubs were joined by AGs Debbie Roopchand and AG Gordon Paul, a wider group of Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Central POS, Diego Martin, POS and Princes Town and the energetic Rotaractors from the Rotaract Club of San Fernando South, one of whose members welcomed Ms Ramdial to begin her interactive session.

The session was held at the City Wok, San Fernando where all listened attentively to the points shared by Ms. Ramdial which covered the following six steps of financial planning: Establish financial goals, Gather relevant data, Analyze the data, Develop a plan for achieving goals, Implement the plan and Monitor the plan.

The information shared was well received by all and a lively Q&A session was held. Ms Ramdial was presented with the Rotary 4-way test as a thank you on behalf of all present.

All were quite ready for the fellowship to begin and this was kicked off by the drawing of the raffle prizes and followed by much laughter and general fun!
