On August 27th, the Rotary Club of Maraval took over the Whipped Restaurant at One Woodbrook Place as we celebrated the birthdays and wedding anniversaries for the month of August and bid 'au revoir' to our own Rtn. Yvonne who is returning to Australia with her family.
All expectations were far exceeded after an evening of great fellowship which was had by all on Tuesday 27th August at the Whipped Restaurant, One Woobrook Place.
At this event, we welcomed our Honorary Rotarian Susan and visiting Rotarians President James Devers, his partner in service and President Elect Rajiv Shandilya of the Rotary Club of POS, who all added to the event's great success. We also welcomed four new guests who we hope to see at our next Club meeting.
The fellowship event was made even that more meaningful as we took the time to celebrate our August birthdays and wedding anniversaries and last but certainly not least, recognize Rtn Yvonne for her tremendous service to the Club as we wished her adieu as she moves back home to Australia. We conducted two raffles leaving two members with a little extra something to cheer about and fellowshipped in fine style for the remainder of the evening.
